Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He combines soul gospel jazz with R&B for a distinctive mix. Her career path has taken her all over the world, from Broadway to European concerts and festivals and even to the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's title is Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by singing and playing the piano at church. Her musical career began in Atlanta at Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan It was later remixed by many producers and remains a staple in her live show. The Fighting Temptations was the other soundtrack she sang on. The band was hired as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls which was a stage production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was the subject of national media interest during four consecutive performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
